Hey there! 👋 I’m Alyssa, a 33-year-old single mom to two amazing kids. Five years ago, I made a life-changing decision to embrace sobriety, and it’s been an incredible journey. Now I’m here to share my story and offer support to others who are on a similar path.
My Journey to Sobriety
Becoming a sober mom has taught me so much about resilience, strength, and the power of community. I know the challenges and victories that come with this journey, and I’m here to help you every step of the way. My sobriety journey began with a difficult but necessary realization that I needed to make a change for myself and my children. Since then, each day has been a testament to the incredible rewards of living a sober life.
Life in Miami
Living in the vibrant city of Miami, I’ve found a wealth of resources and a supportive network that have been instrumental in my recovery. Miami’s diverse and lively community has provided me with countless opportunities to connect with others who understand and support my journey. From local support groups to wellness events, the city’s dynamic atmosphere has been a constant source of inspiration and strength.
Mental Health Advocacy
I’m a big advocate for mental health, and I believe that nurturing our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working in the mental health field, which has deepened my understanding of the complexities of addiction and recovery. This experience has fueled my passion for helping others navigate their own paths to wellness.
Education and Professional Goals
Currently, I’m pursuing studies in addiction at school, further equipping myself with the knowledge and skills to support others on their recovery journeys. Education has been a powerful tool in my own recovery, continuously providing me with insights and strategies that I’m eager to share with you.
My Personal Story
My father struggled with addiction and passed away when I was 21, which deeply influenced my commitment to breaking the cycle and creating a healthier, happier life for my family. His struggle and our family’s pain became a catalyst for my own journey toward sobriety. Losing him was a profound and heartbreaking experience, but it also ignited a fierce determination within me to create a different legacy for my children.
